Application & resume review

We filter for relevant experience, remote work history, and the specific skills needed for Australian business environments. Generic applicants are rejected at this stage.

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience
  • Demonstrated remote work capability
  • Tools proficiency relevant to the role (Xero, Google Workspace, CRMs, etc.)
  • Complete and verifiable work history

Skills assessment

Every candidate completes a role-specific task test — not a multiple choice quiz, but a real work simulation. We assess accuracy, attention to detail, and how they handle ambiguity.

  • Role-specific task simulation (e.g. data entry, bookkeeping, research)
  • Tools proficiency test in software relevant to the role
  • Time-to-complete and accuracy scored together
  • Only candidates who score in the top 20% proceed

English communication test

We assess written and verbal English comprehension, clarity, tone, and the ability to communicate professionally with Australian clients.

  • Written response to a business scenario
  • Grammar, structure, and professionalism scored
  • Verbal assessment via recorded response
  • Accent and clarity evaluated for phone/video call suitability

Structured video interview

A 45-minute structured interview with one of our placement specialists. We assess reliability, work ethic, cultural fit for Australian businesses, and how they handle pressure.

  • Work style and independence assessment
  • How they handle ambiguous instructions or mistakes
  • Availability, timezone alignment, and internet reliability
  • Personality and communication style for client fit

Reference checks

We speak directly to previous employers or clients — not just collect written references. We verify role, tenure, performance, and reliability.

  • Direct phone or video call with a minimum of two referees
  • Verification of role, responsibilities, and tenure
  • Performance, reliability, and work ethic discussed
  • Referees must be former employers or direct clients — not colleagues

Background & identity check

The final gate. We verify identity documents and run a criminal background check before any candidate is added to our active talent pool.

  • Government-issued ID verification
  • Criminal background check in country of residence
  • NBI clearance (Philippines) or equivalent
  • All records stored securely and handled in confidence

What happens once they're in the pool?

Passing the screening process isn't the end — it's the beginning. We actively monitor placed VAs on an ongoing basis.

Performance monitoring

Placed VAs are monitored via regular account manager check-ins. Issues are flagged and addressed before they become problems.

Client feedback loops

We collect structured feedback from employers monthly. VAs who receive poor feedback are coached or removed from the pool.

Skills currency

VAs are expected to keep their skills current. We flag outdated skill profiles and require refresher assessments for long-inactive candidates.

Replacement guarantee

If a placed VA isn't working out, we source a replacement — no charge. The quality commitment doesn't end at placement.
